All antivirus solutions should be properly configured to automatically retrieve the latest updates, perform regular scans, and scan files on-access.
Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection (formerly Forefront Endpoint Protection) is available for download on MyApps to members of the Technical Software Users Group. If you need access but don't have it already, submit a ServiceNow request to "Software" to request that you be added to the Technical Software Users group.

System Center Endpoint Protection can be used as a standalone client or managed through Group Policy and/or SCCM.
It is advisable to remove any existing antivirus software before installing new antivirus software. To remove McAfee ePO Agent from the command shell:
cd "c:\program files\mcafee\common framework" frminst /remove=agent frminst /forceuninstall
After ePO Agent has been removed, all remaining McAfee software can be uninstalled via Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
