How well versed are you with ASU's wireless connections? Currently there are two wireless networks publicly visible on all of ASU's campuses and they are "asu" and "asu guest". In addition to these there is now a secret and safe wireless network named "asu_encrypted" that is not normally visible. ASU recommends all devices use the "asu_encrypted" network as it protects your data and sensitive information being transmitted wirelessly. read article

Emails come in, emails go out. What we can try and explain though, is the art of Spear Phishing. You've probably seen a phishing email more than once at ASU. If you have ever seen an email that's asking for your personal information or wants you to click a link to validate, unlock, or verify your account, you've seen a phish. read article

Did you know that Information Security Office has created security refresher material that can help keep you protected while using ASU computing resources? The training material is offered year round via Blackboard. Take a moment this month to review this year's material. To watch the information security training video head on over to Youtube and then take the quiz at Blackboard. read article

Cyberspace is woven into the fabric of our daily lives and the world is more interconnected today than ever before. We enjoy the benefits and convenience that cyberspace provides as we shop from home online, bank using our smart phones, and interact with friends from around the world through social networks. The Information Security Office (ISO) is committed to raising cybersecurity awareness across the university to protect against and respond to cyber incidents.
